Lady ‘Cats to play Grand Valley
After a series split on the road against teams from the GLIAC South Division last weekend, the Northern Michigan University women’s basketball team is back at home for two games against GLIAC North opponents.
NMU will play against Grand Valley State on Thursday, Jan. 16, and Ferris State on Saturday, Jan. 18.
“They have a core group of people coming back from last year,” said Wildcats head coach Troy Mattson about Grand Valley State. “They’re long, athletic, and very capable of scoring points in bunches. We need to be solid and tough defensively like we have been all year. I think we will be able to keep ourselves in the game.”
Tip-off between the Lakers and the Wildcats is set for 5:30 p.m.
