Lack of sleep leads to Mackinac County wreck

A lack of sleep played a role in a two-vehicle accident early this morning in Mackinac County.

Michigan State Police from the St. Ignace Post say it happened on US-2 west of Brevort Township near Worth Road shortly after 6:00 a.m.

Troopers say a 50-year-old Trenary man was driving a moving-van-style truck westbound when he collided with the rear of a logging truck. The logging truck was driven by a 53-year-old Hessel man.

No one was hurt. The Trenary man was cited for careless driving.
