Juvenile driver arrested after leading police on chase
ESCANABA — A juvenile suspect was apprehended after allegedly stealing a car and leading police on a chase in Escanaba Sunday night.
Escanaba Public Safety officers say they attempted to make a stop on a suspected stolen vehicle around 11:30 p.m. when the suspect began to lead them on a chase. Eventually, the vehicular chase ended and continued on foot for a few minutes. Police were able to apprehend the suspect after the short foot chase.
The suspect’s name is not being released at this time. Police say no injuries were reported. The stolen vehicle received minor damage.
Escanaba Public Safety was assisted by the Delta County Sheriff’s Office and the Michigan State Police.
