July 4th Hit and Run Victim Dies
One of the two victims in the hit and run accident in the city of Marquette Wednesday night has died.
Police say that 42 year old Karin LaChapell died from injuries she sustained in the July 4th incident.
The other victim, Bryan LaChapell, is in stable condition at Marquette General Hospital.
The two were crossing South Front Street at Genesee Street when a south bound vehicle stuck them just before 10:30 p.m.
Police are treating the incident as a ‘hit and run, failure to stop.’
The investigation is continuing.
A State Police accident reconstruction expert is helping the city police with the investigation.
