Jestila appears in Houghton County Court
Attorneys in the case against an Upper Peninsula business owner say they need more time to work out some details.
46-year-old Michael Jestila appeared in Houghton County Circuit Court today facing two felony drug charges. Jestila waived his arraignment and pleas of Not Guilty were entered on his behalf.
The defendant owns Backroom Multi-Entertainment in Houghton…which was searched by police in December as was his Backroom Obsessions store in Marquette. Police confiscated what they described as controlled substance analogues, computers, and security equipment.
Charges against Jestila in Marquette County have been dismissed. A pre-trial will be scheduled for late August or early September.
