Jail time for man involved in heroin dealing

SAULT STE. MARIE — A Sault Ste. Marie man will spend time in jail on a drug charge.

Daniel Pedinelli, 26, was sentenced in Chippewa County Circuit Court Tuesday to one year in jail.  He was credited for 105 days served.

Pedinelli had pleaded guilty to two charges: delivery/manufacture of  less than 50 grams of heroin and obstructing a police officer.  He was arrested in November 2013 by the Straits Area Narcotics Enforcement Team after a heroin dealing investigation in the eastern Upper Peninsula.
