Jacobetti Home Employees Giving Back

Last week, we brought you a story about the community meeting the needs of veterans at the Jacobetti Home in marquette.

But the spirit of generosity involving the Jacobetti Home also goes the other way.

Brad Slagle is the Jacobetti Home administrator.

He says the U.P. community does a great job of remembering veterans not only during the holidays, but throughout the year.

Slagle says employees of the facility appreciate that, and for the last two years, they’ve wanted to give back themselves.

They’ve begun to participate, as a workplace, in various food drives for local pantries.

And they’re also finding the time to help area kids have a merry Christmas season through the Marine Corps League Toys for Tots program, with 125 toy donations this year.

The items U.P. residents have donated to meet the veterans’ wish list will be brought to the Jacobetti Home this Friday, December 21st.
