Izzo helps American Cancer Society

Michigan State University men’s basketball coach Tom Izzo is proud to support the American Cancer Society Coaches vs. Cancer program by participating in Infiniti’s ongoing partnership with the National Association of Basketball Coaches, the NCAA® and ESPN in the “Infiniti Coaches’ Charity Challenge.” The program includes a $100,000 donation to the winning coach’s designated charity.

Vote for Michigan State’s Tom Izzo and the American Cancer Society Coaches vs. Cancer program at espn.com/infiniti. Fan participation will determine the ultimate winner over an eight-week period. For the first six weeks, four brackets of 12 coaches will be paired against each other, with the winners from each group moving onto the next round in week seven and the final round in week eight. Fans can vote for up to four coaches per day. The winning coach will be announced March 9, 2012.

Of the 48 participating coaches, Izzo and 13 others chose the Society’s Coaches vs. Cancer program. In 2009, Izzo was presented the Coaches vs. Cancer Champion Award, recognizing his work and leadership in the fight to save lives from cancer. Currently, Izzo holds only 5 percent of the vote.
