Ishpeming woman injured after truck hits tree
A 28-year-old Ishpeming woman was transported to the hospital after her vehicle hit a tree Tuesday afternoon.
The accident happened around 3:30 near the intersection of Division and Jasper Streets in Ishpeming. Police do not know the specifics on how the accident happened, but say the woman was driving a red Chevy truck, pulled out into the intersection from Jasper Street and ended up in a ditch.
Police say she was transported to the emergency room at a Marquette County hospital, but do not know which one.
The Ishpeming Volunteer Fire Department, Negaunee Police Department, Bell Hospital EMS, and Antilla’s Towing assisted at the scene.
