ISHPEMING — With the weather unable to make up its mind lately, tennis players in Ishpeming were glad they were able to get some matches in today against the visiting Munising Mustangs.

In the number one singles, it was Thomas Blaow against Joel Schramm. Blaow was unforgiving on his returns, serving up crushing forehands. Schramm can’t return that one and Blaow gets the point there and keeps his attack going. But later, the aggressiveness was a little too much. Schramm would win in two sets, 6-3 and 6-3.

In the number one doubles, it was Kaz Langness and Lucas Solka against Joel Werner and Nick Sercone. Werner and Sercone win in two sets, 6-0 and 6-0.

In the number two singles, it was Cody Johnson against Trevor Witty. Action was great from both sides. Johnson would get the point and win the match in two sets, 6-2 and 7-5.
