Ishpeming Meth Lab Plea

An Ishpeming man is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty today in a meth lab case.

29–year–old Robert Fields has pleaded guilty in Marquette County Circuit Court to delivery or manufacture of methamphetamine.

It carries a potential 20–year prison sentence, and Fields will receive his sentence on November 2nd.

His wife, 30–year–old Nickolena Fields, was also charged in the case.

She’s serving 12 months of probation for use of a controlled substance.

They were arrested back on May 22nd.

Police say they found a substance believed to be meth, and several meth lab components, in their apartment at 129 West Superior Street.

The Ishpeming City Police, the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team and the Michigan State Police worked together on this case.
