Ishpeming Area Power Outage
Nearly 600 western Marquette County residents are still in the dark tonight after a power outage this evening.
UPPCO official say it happened shortly after 6 pm tonight.
It’s affecting customers in the city of Ishpeming, Ishpeming Township and Ely Township.
UPPCO says a substation lost power and caused the outage.
More than 650 customers were initially affected.
UPPCO says that they hope to restore power in the affected area to all of their customers by midnight.
