Two people are being held in the Gogebic County Jail tonight following a meth bust this morning.
Shortly before 9 am Central time, officers from the Gogebic–Iron Area Narcotics Team executed a search warrant at 229 Evans Street in Ironwood.
Police arrested the homeowners, a man and a woman.
GIANT officers say they discovered multiple labs, methamphetamine and several meth-making components.
The suspects have each been charged with six counts of delivery and manufacturing methamphetamine, and one count of operating and maintaining a meth lab.
Both are 20-year felonies.
They’re also accused of possession of methamphetamine, which is a 10-year felony.
The names of the suspects will be released following arraignment.
The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team, Ironwood Public Safety and the Gogebic County Sheriff’s Department all assisted in the investigation.
