Ironwood man sentenced for felony firearm possession

An Ironwood man will have to spend at least two and a half years behind bars for possession of a firearm by a felon.

Donald Morrison Jr., 42,  was sentenced this afternoon in Gogebic County Circuit Court. He could spend up to 10 years in prison, but he has already received credit for nine days served.

Morrison had three additional ‘possession of a firearm by a felon’ charges dropped as part of his plea agreement. Ironwood Public Safety arrested him last November.
