An Iron River man is in jail tonight on several charges coming from a gun-related assault.
The Iron County Sheriff’s Department says he is 37-year-old Bobby Joe Nordstrom.
The incident happened shortly before 4:30 Central time Sunday afternoon in Iron River Township.
Nordstrom is accused of grabbing a gun during a fight with family members and firing two rounds.
He’s also accused of barricading himself inside a relative’s house and getting into a brief standoff with police before surrendering.
Nordstrom was arraigned today in 95B District Court in Crystal Falls on two counts of felonious assault and one count each of several other offenses.
Those are felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm while intoxicated, and habitual offender, fourth offense.
He’s being held in the Iron County Jail on $5,000 bond, and his preliminary exam is scheduled for July 16th.
