Iron River Twp. Standoff Trial Date
An Iron River man now has a trial date regarding an armed standoff.
37–year–old Bobby Joe Nordstrom’s trial is scheduled for December 18th and 19th in the Iron County Trial Court.
He’s charged with two counts of felonious assault, and one count each of felon in possession of a firearm and firearm possession while intoxicated.
Nordstrom also has habitual offender status, fourth offense, attached; he could go to prison for life if he’s convicted.
The incident happened in Iron River Township on July 8th.
According to police, Nordstrom was fighting with family members.
He’s accused of grabbing a gun when the fighting escalated, firing two rounds and then barricading himself in a family member’s house.
Police say Nordstrom surrendered after a brief standoff.
He has posted $5,000 bond.
