Iron Mountain Break-In and Copper Theft
Two young men are in jail tonight in Dickinson County on felony theft charges involving copper wire.
20-year-old Jesse Spanton of Iron Mountain and 21-year-old Thomas Loomis of Kingsford are charged with breaking and entering with intent.
The pair is accused of breaking into Brooks Electric on North Milwaukee Avenue just before 3am Central time yesterday.
An alert caller told police about suspicious activity at the site and gave officers information about the vehicle the suspects were driving.
Kingsford Public Safety located the pair.
They’re both being held in the Dickinson County Correctional Center on $5,000 cash bond.
State Police from the Iron Mountain Post joined Iron Mountain Police in the investigation.
