Police are looking into a weekend stabbing at an isolated camp in Iron County.

The Sheriff’s Department says it happened on the Paint River in Bates Township.

They got a call about it shortly before 11 Central time Saturday night.

But police say they’re a 33-year-old from Munising and a 48-year-old from Iron River.

The 2 men got into some kind of altercation, and the Munising man was stabbed several times.

But both men were hurt, and both men were taken to the Iron County Community Hospital.

There’s no word on how they’re doing.

Deputies needed a snowmobile and rescue sled to get the men away from the camp to where an ambulance could drive to them.
