Iowa woman sentenced to time served on meth charge

MARQUETTE — An Iowa woman is now out of jail after being sentenced in Marquette for possession of meth.

Jessica Jamison, 33, of Winterset, Iowa was sentenced to 118 days in jail and was credited with that same amount of time served. The Michigan State police arrested her in late March after receiving treatment for injuries after a car crash in Michigamme.

Jamison was also accused of operating while intoxicated, second offense; firearm possession during commission of a crime and possession of a loaded firearm in a vehicle. Prosecutors dismissed the other counts in exchange for her guilty plea on the meth charge.
