Investigation continues into Marquette armed robbery
MARQUETTE — Two men who allegedly robbed a residence at gunpoint Friday are being sought by Marquette police.
Police responded to 515 North Front Street around 9:30 p.m. Friday night. The robbery suspects had already fled the scene toward the one hundred block of Ohio Street before officers arrived.
“Information was provided that the suspects were armed with a small pistol and demanded money at gunpoint from the victims within the residence,” said Detective Corporal Gregory Kinonen of the Marquette City Police Department.
Police say one of the victims received minor injuries from allegedly being assaulted by one of the robbers. Police also say that the back door of the apartment was left unsecured.
The suspects are described as two black men wearing black ski masks and dark clothing. The investigation into the incident is still ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Marquette City Police Department at (906) 228–0400.
