Name of deceased inmate released
UPDATE: Troopers from the Michigan State Police Wakefield Post have now released the name of the inmate who died following an incident at the Ojibway Correctional Facility in Marenisco.
He has been identified as Randolph Connor, 26, from the Muskegon area.
Warrants have not yet been issued for the inmates who were involved in the incident that caused Connor’s death.

Trooper from the Wakefield Post of the Michigan State Police are investigating a death at a Gogebic County jail.
Troopers were dispatched to Ojibway Correctional Facility on Friday for a report of an assault on an inmate. The assault victim was transported to the hospital. The inmate died on Saturday as a result of the injuries sustained.
Names of those involved are being withheld pending further investigation. The Michigan Department of Corrections is assisting in the investigation.
