Inmate on the Run
Law enforcement agencies in the Western U.P. are on the lookout for a walkaway prisoner tonight.
The Houghton County Sheriff’s Department says it’s 27–year–old Jeremy Nordstrom of Calumet. Shortly after 1 this afternoon, he walked away from a work crew at the Houghton County arena in Hancock.
He stands 6–foot–2 and weighs about 180 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes.
Nordstrom was in jail for violating probation for larceny and allowing a person to drive in violation of the motor vehicle code.
Police say he’s a minimum security inmate and is unarmed, with no history of violence.
