Indiana man injured in Marquette County snowmobile accident
An Indiana man was injured after a snowmobile accident in Marquette County Friday evening.
The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened around 5 p.m. on DNR Snowmobile Trail No. 14, about six miles northwest of County Road AAA in Powell Township.
Police John Conway, 70, of Hammond, Indiana was traveling east on the trail when he failed to negotiate a curve and crashed into a group of trees.
He was transported to Marquette General Hospital for upper body injuries.
Police suspect speed may have been a factor in the crash.
Marquette General EMS, Powell Township EMS, and the Powell Township Fire Department assisted at the scene.
