Icy roads cause three vehicle accident

Four people are recovering from injuries after a three vehicle accident on US-2 and 41 in Delta County.

Deputies from the Delta County Sheriff’s Office say it happened just before 5 p.m. Wednesday near the Ford River Bridge in Hyde when a 58-year-old man heading westbound lost control of his vehicle and struck an eastbound car driven by a 29-year-old woman. The 58-year-old then struck a second eastbound vehicle driven by a 57-year-old man.

Two of the drivers and a passenger in one vehicle were taken to St. Francis ER. The third driver was able to get to the ER on his own accord. None of the injuries appear to be life threatening.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Michigan State Police and Rampart EMS.
