Huskies complete track & field season

Michigan TechHOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech track and field team competed in four different last chance meets this week.

Sophomore Jevon Maddox broke his own school record in the triple jump with a leap of 48-0.5 at the Georgia Tech Invitational. The mark ranks him 35th in the nation.

Quinn Parnell also participated in Atlanta. He ran a time of 10.76 in the 100 and 21.89 in the 200.

Senior Nate Saliga ran the 10th fastest time in school history in the 400 at 49.22 at the Aquinas Twillight.

The Huskies enjoyed several strong performances in the distance events at the Grand Valley Last Chance Meet Friday. Bradon Kampstra ran a time of 9:26.16 in the 3000-meter steeplechase. His time was the 10th best in school history.

Nick Wimmer ran the 10th fastest time in school history in the 1,500 (4:01.01).

Jonathan Kilpela finished the 5,000 in a time of 15:21.90, and Dylan Anderson ran a time of 1:54.63 in the 800.

Junior Jared Berrymen posted marks of 137-00 in the discus and 45-9 in the shot put at Grand Valley.
