Houghton Car-Pedestrian Victim Recovering

The Houghton woman run over by a car last month has been transferred out of the U.P. for further treatment.

Amy Roberts is now being treated at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Milwaukee.

She is still in a coma.

Staff at the hospital are spending this week evaluating her and forming a treatment plan.

Her condition was recently upgraded from critical to serious.

She was recently able to open her eyes and move her arms and legs.

Amy was hit by a car on December 15th while jogging.

The driver never saw her and ran her down from behind.

Amy has undergone two brain surgeries.
