Houghton Apartment Fire
Residents of a small apartment building in Houghton woke up this morning to a fire in their living room.
The Houghton Fire Department responded to the call about 8:15 this morning at 312 Montezuma Avenue.
The fire was in the upstairs area of the building.
Smoke filled the room as the fire spread into the hallway, but several residents worked to put out the fire before fire crews arrived.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
No injuries were reported.
