Hot and Humid Weather to Hit the Upper Peninsula

PLEASANT SUMMER WEATHER TOOK A WHILE TO ARRIVE IN THE U–P BUT THE HEAT THAT’S EXPECTED THIS WEEKEND MIGHT BE A LITTLE TO HOT TO FOR SOME TO HANDLE.

IT’S GOING TO BE A SCORCHER.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PREDICTS THAT TEMPERATURES WILL REACH THE UPPER EIGHTIES AND LOWER NINETIES BY SUNDAY.

AND AS IF THAT’S NOT HOT ENOUGH, HUMIDITY MAY MAKE THE TEMPERATURE FEEL UP TO 15 DEGREES HIGHER.

HEAT INDEX VALUES OF THE MAGNITUDE THAT WE MAY EXPERIENCE THIS WEEKEND COULD BE POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS— MAKING IT IMPORTANT TO TAKE EXTRA PRECAUTIONS.

THE HOT AND HUMID WEATHER IS EXPECTED TO LAST THROUGH THE EARLY PART OF NEXT WEEK.
