MARQUETTE — A man arrested on home invasion charges entered a plea agreement in Marquette County Circuit Court this morning. ABC 10’s Chelsea Snyder was there and she brings us the story.
Willie Sims pleaded guilty to Home Invasion in the second degree, which is punishable up to 15 years in prison.
The 21–year–old Marquette man was arrested on an outstanding warrant by Marquette City Police in December after an investigation of a home invasion complaint.
When questioned, Sims stated that he provided another person with a key to his ex–girlfriends house in order to remove his dog.
As part of his plea agreement, Sims will be considered for sentencing under the Holmes Youthful Trainee Act due to his age.
Sims will be sentenced on February 19th.
