MARQUETTE — A man arrested in connection to a home invasion in Marquette entered a guilty plea Friday morning.

33-year-old Derek Lentz pleaded guilty to second degree home invasion in Marquette County Circuit Court. That crime is punishable by up to 15 years in prison and a $3,000 fine. Lentz admitted to entering a dwelling on Freedom Drive in Marquette without permission on May 20th in order to attempt to steal drugs.

A second charge of possession of a controlled substance will be dropped as part of the plea agreement.

Lentz will be sentenced on July 17th.
