Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident

The Marquette Police Department wants help finding a hit–and–run driver who struck a pedestrian this morning.

Police say it happened shortly before 10 am at the intersection of Presque Isle Avenue and Wright Street.

A young white male was driving a pickup truck southbound on Presque Isle.

When he made a left turn onto Wright Street, he hit a female pedestrian.

She was taken to Marquette General with non–life–threatening injuries.

Police say the truck driver stopped briefly at the scene before driving away.

There’s no word on the paint color of the truck.

The Marquette Police are asking anyone who may know more about the accident or the driver to call them at 228–0400.
