Hit and run driver turns self in

KINGSFORD — A driver involved in a hit and run accident in Kingsford has turned himself in to police.

Kingsford Public Safety officers say the two–vehicle accident happened Monday evening and the driver came in to confess the following day.

Kingsford Public Safety plans to seek a warrant from the Dickinson County Prosecutor’s office for two counts against the driver: leaving the scene of an accident and driving with a suspended license, third offense.

The driver’s name will not be released until he is arraigned in District Court.
