Heritage Manor residents returning

It’s been seven months since anyone has been able to call the Heritage Manor apartments home, but tomorrow, that changes.

The first residents will be allowed to move back into the senior apartment building on Montezuma Avenue in Houghton that suffered fire and severe water damage last August.

At a recent open house, residents got their first look at the result of an extensive renovation project.

Besides larger and more accessible apartments, residents will also be able to enjoy a new community kitchen, a recreation room and a fire sprinkler system.

By Monday, half of the residents will be moved back in, with the rest coming home by the end of the month.
