MENOMINEE — It was a scary scene Friday morning in the City of Menominee.
At approximately 11:23 a.m., an Enstrom helicopter was flying northbound when it lost power. The helicopter hit tree tops and a power pole on its way down to the ground.
The helicopter came down on 18th Street and eventually came to a rest on 15th Avenue. According to the Menominee County Sheriff’s Office, the pilot suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The Federal Aviation Administration has been notified and the Michigan State Police have been requested to investigate the accident.
