Hampton Inn Tours
The long–awaited waterfront hotel at Marquette’s Founders Landing is almost ready to open.
So the owners and staff of the Hampton Inn want to show it to anyone who’s interested in seeing it.
The Hampton Inn brand is part of the Hilton hotel chain.
The hotel has 84 guest rooms, more than 10 of which are suites.
The project has had many delays — it was originally scheduled to open last July, but it’ll be open for guests later this month.
General manager Reed Benton says they’re taking reservations for July 20th and afterward, so the hotel will be open in just over two weeks.
The hotel was open this afternoon for public tours, including some the spectacular views of Lake Superior.
It’ll also be open for tours from noon to 3 pm tomorrow and Saturday.
