Halloween activites planned at Marquette church

First United Methodist Church will be hosting a Halloween festival on Saturday, October 27 at the church located at 111 East Ridge Street in Marquette. Members of the church will be in the parking lot with their vehicles. Kids are invited to “Trunk or Treat” and receive candy, stickers and prizes. The church will be serving free hotdogs, chips and Kool-aid for all participants. The church youth group will also be hosting a free haunted house in the basement of the church. Two haunted houses will be available for younger and older children.
“We wanted to offer something different to the community,” said Rev. Steve McCoy, First United Methodist Church. “We invite children of all ages to come down and enjoy a free hot dog and take a walk through the haunted house. It’s going to be a great event.”
The Halloween festival has been planned to compliment Marquette’s downtown trick or treating event, also happening on Saturday.
First United Methodist Church has regular worship services at 9:00am and 11:15am every Sunday and a special Re-Imagine service in the evenings once a month.
