Haidar named Player of the Week

BAY CITY, Mich. – Michigan Tech junior forward Ali Haidar (Windsor, Ont./Forster) has been chosen as the GLIAC Men’s Basketball North Division “Player of the Week” for the second time this season.
Haidar led Michigan Tech to a share of the North Division title with a pair of home wins last week. Haidar averaged 27.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and 1.5 assists in wins over Saginaw Valley State and Northwood. He posted his 13th double-double of the season with 25 points and 10 rebounds in the win over SVSU on Thursday.
Haidar then recorded his fourth 30-point performance this year when he poured in 30 points to go with six rebounds and three blocks in the win over Northwood on Saturday.
