After the pink-hair controversy in Gwinn, the school system sets up a hair-coloring police as part of the dress code.
The school board voted unanimously last night in favor of new rules for the student handbook.
They’ll go into effect after spring break.
No one will be allowed to dye their hair with any kind of coloring agent.
They do make execptions for anyone who’s returning their hair to its natural color.
Hats, bandanas and sweatbands are also banned.
A 5th-grader at K.I. Sawyer Elementary School was recently sent home when her pink hair highlights were found to be against the dress code.
She was told she wouldn’t be allowed to come back until she got rid of the pink.
The girl’s mother fought the school district to get her back into the classroom, pink hair and all.
