Gwinn Resident Arrested for Larceny and Home Invasion
A 22 Year old Gwinn Resident is lodged in the Marquette County Jail Facing Home Invasion and Larceny Charges.
It happened just after 4:30am Saturday Morning on the 300 block of West Prospect in Marquette.
Officers from the Marquette City Police observed the suspect attempting to enter a vehicle. The suspect fled the area on foot and a search was conducted by police.
Police say several other vehicles in the area were appeared to be tampered with.
Police then received a call from a resident of East Hewitt Avenue, the resident told police someone had entered his home and fled on foot.
The Resident’s description of the person matched the Officer’s description of the suspect that was seen trying to enter the vehicle a short time earlier.
Police located the suspect on North Front Street. A large amount of property was located on the person including a lap top computer stolen from the residence.
The suspect was arrested and charged with Home Invasion and Larceny from a Motor Vehicle.
