Gwinn man arrested for extortion and child sexually abusive material

GWINN — A Gwinn man has been arrested after an investigation into alleged extortion involving nude photos of children.

The Forsyth Township Police Department says Phillip Michael-Markee Robinson, 18, was arrested shortly before 5:00 p.m. Monday on charges of extortion and possession of child sexually abusive material. The arrest came after an investigation into Robinson’s possession of nude photos of local female victims, which officers accuse him of using to extort those victims.

Police say Robinson was arrested at his home and lodged in the Marquette County Jail without incident. He’s being held on $20,000 bond.

Extortion is a 20-year felony with a potential $10,000 fine. Possession of child sexually abusive material is a four-year felony with a possible $10,000 fine.
