Gwinn-area power outage after car accident

Only one UPPCO customer in Gwinn is still without power.

About 200 Gwinn-area residents are without power Sunday afternoon. UPPCO says on its Twitter feed that crews are replacing a utility pole that was hit by a vehicle this morning.
Company officials say they’re expecting that approximately 100 customers will continue to be in the dark until sometime in the early evening.
There’s no word on when electricity will be fully restored. Whenever there’s an outage anywhere in UPPCO’s service area, the company posts updated information every 15 minutes on its website.
