Guilty verdit in Alger Co. home invasion
A Chicago-area man was found guilty on all counts Friday afternoon in Alger County court in connection with a home invasion.
Ruben Rodriguez was found guilty on all counts, including home invasion, unlawful imprisonment and armed robbery in a trial that lasted all week.
The Elmwood Park, Illinois man was one of four people charged in connection with an armed home invasion. Rodriguez and three other men held a man hostage in his home on East Powell Lake Road in Munising Township in February 2012.
There is no sentencing date yet for Rodriguez, but he is expected to go to trial next month.
