Groundhog Day U.P. Weather Forecast 2/2-3

Well, the groundhog gave us the news on Monday to expect six more weeks of winter. Today certainly felt like winter, and more of the same awaits us tonight.

Weather Forecast:

Temps will drop around 0 degrees for overnight lows, as southwest winds blow around 5 to 10 miles per hour. Tuesday, isolated flurries will develop during the afternoon, as milder air arrives. Temps will top off in the upper teens and lower-20s, while winds shift out of the northwest around 5 to 10 miles per hour.

Tomorrow night, spotty flurries linger as we brace for another chilly evening. Lows will bottom out in the low to mid single digits, while winds become light. Better snow chances arrive Wednesday, but accumulations look to be less than an inch.

Temperatures tonight in Escanaba during the widespread power outage will lower into the teens. Please be aware of your nearest warming center.
