Grants Available for L'Anse Businesses
Money is again available for businesses in L’Anse to spruce up their storefronts.
The L’Anse Downtown Development District has five grants to hand out… each one worth up to $3,000.
The money must be used to improve the appearance of a commercial building located within the L’Anse D-D-A District.
The money does not need to be repaid… and no matching funds are required from the property owner.
Since 2007, Facade Grants have been used to improve 22 commercial properties by paying for siding, painting, window replacement and masonry repair.
The deadline to apply for this year’s grants is June 8. Applications and information are available at the L’Anse Village Office.
