Gogebic County chase suspect pleads guilty

BESSEMER — A 20-year-old Bessemer Township man made a guilty plea in court for his involvement in a vehicle chase in Gogebic County.

Michael Johnson pleaded guilty to resisting and obstructing a police officer, reckless driving, and driving on a suspended license. Two additional charges were dropped in his plea agreement.

Johnson led police on a vehicle chase and foot chase in June. Police found marijuana and other drug paraphernalia in his vehicle.

He will be sentenced October 30.
