GLIAC Football: MTU vs. NMU set to clash tomorrow
Tomorrow afternoon in Marquette, Michigan Tech and Northern Michigan will square off once again in Marquette. Lately, this rivalry game has been one sided in favor the Huskies.
Michigan Tech has won 7 out of the last 10 matchups, including the last two. Last season, Tech escaped the Superior Dome with a 21-18 victory, as Northern missed a 52-yard field goal as time expired.
Tech is 3-1 this season and looking at a possible playoff birth, while Northern Michigan is struggling at 1-4. But when these two play, you can throw the records out the window- this game is much bigger than the Miner’s Cup.
The Wildcats will be without the services of H-Back Trevor Kruzel and Wide Receiver Christian Marble-King for the rest of the season due to knee injuries. Marble-King will apply for a medical redshirt.
