Gladstone man back in court

The Delta County man who stole a vehicle and then ran it into the Gladstone Public Safety building was back in court today.

32 year old Robert John Anderson waived his right to a preliminary trial. His case has been bound over to Delta County Circuit Court. Anderson is charges with malicious destruction of a building up to $20,000 of damage.

He’s also charged with unlawfully driving away a motor vehicle, resisting and obstructing officers, possession of analogues, and operating under the influence of a controlled substance.

The Gladstone Public Safety Department says Anderson stole a car from a construction zone on U.S.–2 north of Gladstone.

They say he then drove the vehicle through a garage door at the Public Safety building. Anderson’s next court date has not been set yet.
