Gladstone Braves prepare for their state semifinal matchup

TRAVERSE CITY — Yesterday down in Traverse City, Gladstone’s Hunter Garling did his best Magglio Ordonez impression as he hit a walkoff against Muskegon Oakridge to send the Braves to the state semi–finals.

Their route to the semis is similar to last year’s as they knocked off Oakridge last year, before losing to Decatur. This year’s roadblock to the finals is Buchanan, who went 14–4–1 during their regular season. The game will take place on the campus of Michigan State University this Friday at 11:30.

For those making the trip down to East Lansing, we do want to give you a few tips on parking.

The lots for Old College Field are within the vicinity and MHSAA officials ask that visitors please do not park in the adjacent Jenison Field House lot. Public parking is available at two locations: the south and west sides of the Breslin Center, as well as the north and south sides of Spartan Stadium.
