Girl Scouts 100th Birthday Exhibit

The Girl Scouts organization is 100 years old today, and the Marquette Regional History Center is showcasing the scouts.

Stories and photographs have been gathered from past and current scouts to help put the exhibit together.

Jo DeYoung of the Marquette Regional History Center says that the display tells the history and stories of girl scouts in the Upper Peninsula.

She also says that for most girls, being a part of the Girl Scouts helps teach life-long lessons.

The exhibit will run through April 28th, with an opening reception this Wednesday night.
