Gas station robbery suspect pleads guilty

MARQUETTE — A man arrested for robbing a local gas station entered a plea agreement in Marquette County Circuit Court Friday morning.

Twenty-seven-year old Anthony Gonzalez of Marquette pleaded guilty to unarmed robbery, which is a felony punishable by up to fifteen years in prison. As part of the agreement, Gonzalez will also enter a guilty plea to a misdemeanor assault charge from a separate case.

He was arrested late last month after stealing money from the cash register at a Marquette gas station. Gonzalez reached over the counter and took the cash while attempting to make a purchase. He is scheduled to be sentenced on April 8th.
